Manage to do the sub-assemblies for the bike during the week end.
Just a bit of putting under the front fork and minor sanding where
the part is connected to the sprues.
And its now ready for priming.

 



 

As for the trooper.

I find the shoulder cap sits to high when assembled.

So...

I removed the shoulder cap supports.

And use a temporary blue-tac to complete the shoulder assembly.

And I like what I did.

My first time doing pre-shading on a model...

 

 

The model was first primed with Mr.Surfacer 1200.

Then pre-shaded with black and grey primer from Vallejo.

 

 

Pre-shading really gives some depth on this part

after laying down the colors.

 

 

I can say I enjoy every part of the painting this model.

 

 

I didn't follow the suggested colors from the instruction.

Instead. I just chose the colors from my Vallejo collection

that is close to the suggested colors.

So that its easy for me to repeat the colors when I do

another speeder bike in the future.

Well just finished a very subtle wash.

And its ready ready for those paint chipping.

 

 

Here's my own interpretation of the paint chipping.

 

 



It's going take me a whole week to finish the weathering.
